Trust, it can take years to build it with someone, but it can be lost in a mere second. Has someone asked you to trust them, then they let you down? You trust someone with a personal secret, and they don’t keep it. Maybe you have trusted someone with your love only to be deceived by them. Notice a pattern here? You put your trust in people, and they let you down. However, if you put your trust in the LORD, He will never let you down! He will always love you with His unconditional love, He is always there for you, and He always does what He knows is best for you. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you”— this is the LORD’S declaration — “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
God always does what He promises. Trusting fully in Him takes faith and understanding. His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:9). If He doesn’t answer a prayer the way you expect, He hasn’t let you down. He is protecting you. Trusting in the LORD is taking your prayers and supplications to Him, then waiting on Him (Psalm 27:14).
LORD God, we love You and praise You! Thank You for waking us up to another day. Give us wisdom and faith to put our trust in You. Lord, You will never leave us or forget about us. May knowing this truth bring peace and comfort to Your children. We pray this in the powerful and loving name of Jesus! Amen.
